There are a million twitter tools and apps, just google the search term twitter tools or twitter apps. Below is a list of twitter tools I have found very useful and use on a daily basis with my twitter routine.
Productivity Tools
search.twitter.com – twitter’s official search tool. Type in your user name to track who’s is tweeting about you and try the ‘advanced’ feature to find like minds, people of interest or related tweets.
mrtweet.net – suggests people to follow based on your recent twitter activity
tweetlater.com – allows you to automate scheduled tweets, direct messages to new followers, track keywords and receive daily email digests.
tweetburner.com – allows you to shorten long URL’s from its website or with a nice browser bokmarklet that tracks click throughs from the links you post on twitter. Great tool to see if your links are being opened.
friendorfollow.com – allows you to discover who you are following thats not following you back and vice versa.
tweepler.com – another great follower management tool, excellent interface and design.
tweetchat.com – allows you to follow a twitter conversation based on #hashtags. Great tool to narrow your focus for your discussion or read certain tweets about a specific subject. Learn more about hashtags by visiting http://hashtags.org/.
addons.mozilla.org – if you are a Firefox user, you definitely have to include some very powerful twitter add-ons to your twitter quiver.
Desktop Apps – the only 2 I use.
